From Powder Springs to Paradise
Kenzie Annis, or Mackenzie Brooke Annis as she’s officially known, comes from Powder Springs, Georgia, not far from Kennesaw. Just 24 years old, she achieved a major milestone just days before her villa debut: she graduated from Kennesaw State University with her nursing degree. "I literally just graduated nursing school the day before getting here," she shared during her introduction in the season premiere, proudly noting that she could now add "BSN" to her name.
But there’s more to Kenzie than just her nursing credentials; she has a surprisingly athletic side too. A former competitive dancer, she trained with CK DanceWorks Inc. and even competed at the 2017 National Finals, where she snagged 17th place in the Top Intermediate Solo category. Her dance background explains her unique way of relieving stress—by doing a split every morning—which became so famous that fans lovingly dubbed it the "clam slam."

A Love Life That Kept Viewers Guessing
Kenzie stepped into the villa with her sights set on something big. She dreamed of a "huge family" with five to ten kids and looked up to her parents' impressive 30-year marriage. "I was in love once, but I've been single for a year and a half now. I'm just starving for some boys," she playfully shared in a pre-season chat.
Her romantic escapades were nothing short of a rollercoaster. She kicked things off by pairing up with Zach Georgiou in the premiere, only to find herself single again when he opted for bombshell Kayda Bosse instead. After that, Kenzie tried to connect with police officer Sean Reifel, along with bombshells Gabriel Vasconcelos and Corbin Mims, before finally igniting a spark with Caleb McDaniel.
However, her dating strategy—actively exploring multiple connections while most of the other islanders stuck to their original partners—ruffled some feathers in the villa. Fellow contestants likened her to Sincere, who had faced criticism for being dishonest about his connections. Those comparisons stung. Kenzie later opened up on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, revealing that she often found herself "crying in the shower" and felt a lack of support from the other girls, calling the double standard "sexist."

A Controversy Before the Show Even Began
Even before her debut episode hit the screens, Kenzie was met with unexpected backlash. An old photo of her sporting what looked like "Make America Great Again" merchandise made its rounds online, igniting a wave of criticism.
Finding Love and Moving Forward
Even with all the villa drama, Kenzie's journey on Love Island wrapped up on a high note. She found her match in Casa Amor heartthrob Dylan Wrona, and their connection quickly blossomed into one of the strongest of the season. They made their relationship official during the show's Aftersun special and have been happily dating since their return from Fiji.
Kenzie has been candid about her reluctance to enter a long-distance relationship, sharing her hopes of relocating to Los Angeles or Miami to chase nursing opportunities.
The Girl Who Stole the Spotlight
She stepped into the villa as a fresh nursing graduate from Georgia, but she exited as one of the most memorable contestants of Season 8. With a million followers and a promising future ahead, it’s clear that Kenzie Annis is just getting started.
