Heidi Klum is showing us that love—and confidence—only get better with age. The supermodel and television personality recently celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Tom Kaulitz in true Heidi Klum fashion: a sun-drenched, affectionate beach getaway in St. Barts.

On August 3, Klum, 53, took to Instagram to share a delightful collection of photos from their romantic escape. In the first snap, she posed topless on the sand, playfully covering her chest with a large sun hat while rocking a cheeky black thong bikini bottom. The couple shared a sweet kiss while lounging on a Gucci towel, with her wet hair and delicate gold jewelry adding to the effortlessly glamorous atmosphere.

Kaulitz, 36, sported black-and-white swim trunks and a tan baseball cap, looking perfectly in sync with his wife of seven years. Their dog, Fritz, even made a cameo, rounding out the picture-perfect family vacation moment. Klum simply captioned the post: "No caption needed ❤️."

A Love Story That Started in Secret

Their anniversary celebration also gives us a chance to reflect on their whirlwind romance. Klum and Kaulitz secretly tied the knot in February 2019, just months after getting engaged in December 2018. They later celebrated with a lavish ceremony on a yacht in Capri, Italy, surrounded by family and friends.

Klum has been candid about how this relationship has transformed her life. In a 2020 interview with People, she revealed that she has become "just a much happier person." "For the first time, I have a partner who I can discuss everything with," she shared. "Someone who shares the responsibilities we all have in life. I used to handle everything on my own. Now, I get to experience what it’s really like to have a partner."

The Secret to Their Strong Bond

While some people might zero in on the 17-year age difference between Klum and Kaulitz, the couple believes their connection runs much deeper than that. Klum has often pointed out that their shared German roots foster a unique understanding and a set of common values. "Even though we do have an age gap, there's a different understanding being with someone from Germany and having the same roots," she shared with Us Weekly. "It's different from what I've experienced with anyone else… they didn’t grow up like that from the ground up. So we really click in that sense, and we share a lot of the same morals."

She even playfully commented on the age difference, saying, "I look at my husband and I'm like: 'He is getting a little old for me.' But so far, so good. He's ageing well!"

 

So, what keeps their relationship vibrant? According to Klum, it’s all about "exercising" together—"the kind of exercise without machines." She elaborated that when they connect, "the souls connect, not just the body and the flesh. The hearts and souls connect in a different kind of way."

A Family-First Approach

Klum was previously married to singer Seal from 2005 to 2014, and they share four children: sons Henry and Johan, daughter Lou, and daughter Leni, whom Seal adopted. The model has expressed how Kaulitz has stepped into his role as a stepfather beautifully, helping to create a blended family that she describes as incredibly supportive.
